A Nightmare On Your Wedding Day

If something were to go wrong on your big day, it would be a real nightmare. However, a good wedding insurance policy can help to ensure you're not left out of pocket at least.

While of course the fictional character from nightmares Freddy Krueger will not actually be chasing you on your wedding day, your big day could well turn into a nightmare and for many reasons. Most weddings go off without a hitch; however there are some that are destined to remain with you for some time for all the wrong reasons. Here are just some of the many scenarios, where if you had given some thought to wedding insurance, you might have avoided nightmares.

All is set for your big day; however, the day before your wedding your photographer suffers an accident that leaves him on pain medication. The show must go on of course and he doesn't want to let you down, so he turns up at your wedding a little "high" on painkillers. While he thinks he is going to be the hero of the day, this is far from true as he will find out when he develops the rolls of film. His shaky hands mean many of the photos of your big day are blurred and out of focus, some even have you looking as though you are standing on a slope, and heads and feet are cut off. They are photos from hell. No matter how many apologies are given it does not make it any easier that you have horrible memories of your beautiful day. With wedding insurance you would be typically covered and could coerce your guests into dressing the part again and retake the photos again courtesy of your policy.

Picture this. You have booked a fairy-tale wedding including a horse and carriage. You are going to be the belle of your own ball on your big day. However everything goes "pumpkin" shape before the carriage even arrives and well before midnight, as the horse pulling your carriage suffers an injury whilst being hooked up. Just an hour before you are expected to pull up at the church and exit the golden carriage for your fairy-tale wedding, you find that there is no horse to pull the carriage! What now? Walk to the wedding? Arrive in the back of your dad`s old Ford? If you had shopped around and compared wedding insurance and had a policy, you could use this for financial compensation and rebook alternative transport to make sure that you reached your wedding on time.

That little village church may look quaint set in a picturesque valley surrounded by hills and greenery, but what happened if due to adverse weather the village was submerged under 2 feet of water on your big day and you and your guests could not get there? What if the venue holding the reception burnt to the ground a couple of days before your big day? What if the flower shop forgot to order those special flowers and your bouquets did not arrive? There are a million and one things that could affect your wedding day, which could mean Freddy Krueger is one of the main guests. Consider checking out what wedding insurance has to offerArticle Search, a policy typically covers many different things that could give you nightmares for a very long time to come after the big day.

If something goes wrong on your big day, it doesn't have to be a financial nightmare. However, a good policy from the likes of perhaps Debenhams Wedding Insurance or Tesco Wedding Insurance will ensure that if the worst happens, you'll at least not lose out financially.
