Not everyone enjoys the stress that comes with planning and organizing an important event,An Intimate Affair: Wedding Packages for Small Ceremonies Articles which is why wedding packages make a great option for those who want a memorable day without having to fuss with it. A package deal is a great option for people who would prefer a more intimate affair with fewer guests. It’s ideal for those eloping or traveling to a distant destination as they can often save money and seriously reduce the amount of phone calls, bookings, and notes you’ll have to make.

Planning your big day isn’t going to be all about picking flowers and tasting cakes, there is also the less romantic details such as obtaining a marriage license. Even in Vegas, the city created for last minute weddings, there is still some paperwork to fill out and get approved before you can take the plunge. Most wedding packages will include services that help you get the marriage license in time for the event. Each state has different requirements and documents that are needed to complete the marriage application. And in a few states, blood tests are even required.

Regardless of your religious or spiritual background (or lack thereof), you’ll still need to choose someone to perform the ceremony. While there are several options and plenty of available professionals, during very busy months, such as June, finding a minister that fits your expectations can get tricky. You might find that your local priest is booked fully. Wedding packages will include finding an appropriate minister (if you have specific requirements, let them know ahead of time).

In addition to the formalities of paperwork and a minister, a good photographer is crucial for most brides and grooms. You’ll want this special event to be immortalized, but searching for a photographer on your own and comparing prices can be a great stress. A package deal will come with a specified number of photos of various sizes as well as a CD. If additional prints are desired, they are generally easy to order in the future.

So you’ve got your marriage license, minister, and photographer—but there’s still more! If you’re planning a very small ceremony, as in just the couple, you’ll need a witness to make your union valid in the eyes of the law. If you really would prefer not to involve anyone you know personally, a wedding package will include witnesses to ensure your ceremony will be legal.

Then, of course, there’s the matter of the fun, which most brides agree is choosing the flowers and cake. If you’d prefer, some package deals will give you at least a small amount of control over some of your choices such as color schemes and types of bouquets. You can always supplement your deal with your own flowers or other favors as well. Not all deals offer food or even a cake, so you may have to supply it yourself or specially request it to be added at an additional cost. If you really have your heart set on a certain flavor or design, it might be better to arrange this on your own to make sure it is to your exact specifications.
