Effective Article Marketing Strategy - Targeting Profits

In order to be an effective article marketer, you need to have an effective article marketing strategy. Thus, following the four basic article marketing principles which are: Article Content Strategy, Article Creation Strategy, Snappy Headings, and The Meat of Your Article; you can able to have an effective article marketing.

Article Content Strategy
The selection of keywords and key phrases is the most important element in an effective article marketing strategy.  In fact, keywords and key phrases will be the way that readers and Google searchers will find you. Each and every keyword should be thoroughly researched and properly chosen, including researching the websites that are using these same search terms. Before going too far, you also want to determine whether your article can compete with others out there utilizing the same key phrases.
Article Creation Strategy
If you haven’t written articles before, an excellent approach would be to invest time in reading some of the best rated articles on a few of the article publication sites. Most sites have a way to identify the best rated articles.  In reviewing these articles, you will see how they are created and constructed, and also how each article directs the reader to the “resource box” at the bottom of the article.  The resource box is your most important element in your article, because it directs readers where to find out more about you and/or the subject of your article.
The most powerfully articles are usually written in brief paragraphs, and are written at an eighth grade level.  That means not using any complicated or technical phrases that your visitor may not understand. Your visitor must not see a lot of white space either. 
Don't include links in the body of the article; they should be limited to inside your resource box.  Most article posting sites also limit the quantity and content in the links you post in the resource box as well, so be sure you know the rules before submitting.
Snappy Headings!
Most people today will not read your entire article. Surprise, surprise.  No, busy people are simply looking for specific terms and phrases which they believe are the key to solving their problem or addressing their concern.  So be sure to use these terms and phrases in your article headings, allowing your readers to skip to the section of the article of interest to them.  Headings are essential in article writing, and they need to be brief and enticing.
The Meat of Your Article
It is best to include your key phrase somewhere in the first sentence of your article.  The phrase should also be included several times in the article, and in the final sentence.  That said, be sure not to use your phrase more than once every 100 words or so, or the article sites may reject your article as being written for search engines rather than for real people to read.  Tailor your article such that it solves your readers’ problems and is generally helpful to them. Give your reader reasons to read to the end of your article, where your resource box is located.   Use numbered lists when offering “the best solutions” or the “top 5” or “top 10” solutions, making the article appearance more appealing, while also making for easier reading.
Inside the resource box, the reader must find a “call to action”. You should encourage your reader to click the link(s) in the resource box to receive further information by going to your blog, your social media fan page or one of your splash pages. Some article marketing posting sites allow you to include two links, and if so, use them both strategically.  You will get the hang of it after writing your first few articles and studying some of the best rated articles out there.
Once your article is written, you can reword it or “spin” it in using a paid or free “article spinning tool” in order to post it to hundreds of other article marketing directories. The purpose of spinning the articles is to ensure that every article is unique.  You must avoid submitting duplicate content, since penalties may be imposed by the article posting sites for this.   And also keep in mind that Google will only index one copy of an article and disregard all others as duplicate content.
