Are you ready to put a new bounce in your step? Or awaken a new challenge,How old do you think you are? Articles a new path or a long forgotten dream?  If you are, start your creative action with positive thinking. Just like when you feng shui a house there are many benefits to feng shui your mind. When you have pure, positive, worry free thoughts, you make being “happy for no reason” look easy. So it is time to clean out the cobwebs in your mind just like you clean out your closet. Throw away clothes and thoughts which no longer fit, and make way for the new.  When you are finished cleaning, you will feel like your health, happiness, and enthusiasm for life have just been renewed.

Like a caterpillar in a cocoon, which metamorphoses into a butterfly, you are always transforming. Change your thoughts and you can change your life. Most likely you have heard the saying “you are only as old as you think you are.” I have known people in their 30’s who sound like they are old and ready to retire, and I know men and women who are in their eighties who have the energy of a 30 year old. We grow old when we lose interest in life and cease to dream, lose our desire to search for new answers, or get stuck in old worn out thought patterns. Keeping our mind positive and receptive to new ideas is one of the major keys to staying young. Like an umbrella, our mind is of no use if it is raining and we don’t open it.

We must stay awake and not be hypnotized by the TV or the radio. It is easy to drift into the unconscious and become a prisoner to media concepts.  Did you know that there were 50,454 centenarians in the US in 2000 (according to the US Census)?  Did you know that we could accomplish more at 65 than at 30 because we have more time? More at 90 than at 60 because everyday we are growing in wisdom, and our understanding of life?

“We are a spiritual “catalyst”, and our thoughts and actions have a spiritual reaction. Our thoughts are mirrored in consciousness; what we think is what we see. Receiving the mental equivalent of our thinking is forever playing out in our life.  Positive thinking about aging is like putting money into a savings account. Make your perspective on aging become one of your most valuable asset. I used to worry about forgetting a name or what I was going to say. Thinking that I must be getting old, and then I started noticing how many young people had the same problem. Forgetfulness had nothing to do with age, but everything to do with which thoughts are stored in our mind. Now I tell myself “I am wise beyond measure.”

We may not beware of it, but the “law of attraction” is always operating. We can see the results everyday in the positive or negative things, places, people, situations and environments around us.  To stay young is to surround ourselves with happy people. When you feel inspired, uplifted, or rejuvenated by a person, book, movie, or talk your whole being lights up as well.  This recharged feeling opens your mind to the miraculous and suddenly you tap into your own divine wisdom. Our mind is ever so powerful as though each of us is a “point of intelligence” in the Universe; As though the Universe wanted to express itself through us.

Carlos Castaneda said “We either make ourselves happy or miserable. The amount of work is the same.”

Live for the fun of it, for the pure joy of being! Spread your wings and fly in sheer delight. When you believe strongly with a sincere heart in what you want to attract in your life, you help open the doors for opportunities to enter in.  See yourself as a happy, radiant, successful, and peaceful. Affirm living---not dying. Remember your mind does not grow old your mind grows wise. How old do you think you are?
