There are many times in life when you really want to come up with a great idea,How to Find Inspiration When Facing the Google Challenge Articles or find a solution, or start to write something and your mind just draws a blank.

Writers experience writer's block whereby they just stare at a blank sheet of paper for hours on end, although these days that sheet of paper is a visual image on a computer screen as opposed to the real thing. In a difficult emotional situation you often find that you just don't know what to say. At work, you may find that inspiration escapes you at just the wrong moment.

A good friend of mine said the other day (not for the first time) that she wants to start her own business. She is interested in fashion and has ideas for a boutique. Her husband is not so keen on this idea and said instead "just do something on the internet". The question uppermost in my friends mind was what could she do on the internet? She was lacking in inspiration, and her husband wasn't providing any further guidelines to assist in this matter.

Setting up an internet business is a lot harder than you might think; those who have gone through the hoops know just how very difficult it is. But we are bombarded with encouragement and inspiration to do this on a daily basis. I have stopped counting the emailed offers which arrive in my inbox every single day to learn how to make hundreds of dollars, thousands of dollars or to become "one of the many internet millionaires". Apparently we can all do this by following certain "tried and tested formulas". We are encouraged to think that it's easy to make our millions upon the internet.

And if you are lacking in inspiration, you can even get help on different ideas for internet businesses and upon creating products to sell. Anyone reading these "incredible offers" could be forgiven for thinking that it is easy. But it is rarely easy to get noticed upon the crowded streets of the internet. 2010 is not 2000, and a million miles away from the early nineties on the net.

There are billions of people competing for a share of the main streets of Google. This means you have to be unique, have great products which people know that they need, and that they are looking for, and have the SEO expertise and web writing ability to get you ahead of the rest. This makes setting up business in the offline world look like a piece of cake by comparison.

For example, if I had been inspired to open a sandwich shop, and knew that my sandwiches were as good, if not a little better, than the best available, I could easily identify my competition in the area. I could perhaps simply open my shop on the opposite corner to that other shop where all the customers are used to going. They couldn't help but see my shop when they pass by; what is the likelihood of those customers trying my produce and becoming my customer instead? I know this is a simplistic example, but I'm sure you can get my drift.

On the internet, you cannot see all of your competitors. Not only that, there are competing customers from all over the world and every single one of them is trying to get exactly the same shop position as you. None of them want to be at the other end of the street, or on the next street, in the suburbs or the countryside. They want to be exactly where you want to be. The rent you have to pay to get into that position is unlimited, ongoing and unquantifiable. That rent involves having a lot of inspiration and a lot of support.

So if you decide to set up an internet business, you have to love what you do; you have to love your products and fully believe in them. Otherwise you will not have the necessary inspiration to keep on fighting your way up the Google streets. You also have to love business, to love marketing, to love a challenge. Google challenges you to become inspired and creative to a greater degree than ever before. And it will only become more difficult as thousands of new and enthusiastic competitors face this challenge every single day.

You have to dig ever deeper into your reserves of mental strength and determination. You have to draw on your reserves of self-belief and self-confidence. Not only that you have to be ready for knock-backs and get used to bouncing back with fresh ideas and new inspiration, new energy. The internet challenge is anything but a passive one.

I am very lucky as I have a lot of support from my other half; if I didn't have that I just could not do what I do. I am also lucky in that I know how to use my mind to best advantage; when short of inspiration I know how to take a step back and change gear so as to allow my more creative mind to surface. Hypnosis has played a big part in my life for many years, and I use it now more than ever.

Hypnosis will relax you and recharge you and allow you access to your creative mind all at the same time. Hypnosis can be used to build confidence and determination so as to have the ongoing energy to face the internet challenge and keep on going until you reach the top.
