I learnt the most amazing lesson the other day.

Once again,Turn The Light On and Darkness Flees Articles in my research I came across a wonderful tape
package of Wayne Dyer's latest book. It's called

'There is a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem'

What a wonderful piece of work! Truly inspirational.

Wayne Dyer is known as the 'Father of Motivation' by
his legion of fans and there's no doubt that this is
another excellent example of how he gained his reputation.

A question was asked of me, the other day.

'What do you do when there is an 'irritating' relationship
present in your life? We just seem to rub each other
up the wrong way - ALL the time, what do I do?'

We sat down and talked about the situation and after
listening to Dr Dyer's words, decided on a plan of action.

We decided that she would wait for a day when a nasty snipe
escaped from this person and apply the principles we'd
decided on.

Instead of the usual cutting remark in reply, she sat quietly
for a moment and tried to imagine what kind of a day the
other person had had. She knew he was tired and upset,
so decided to reply with a soothing remark.

She remained calm and asked if he’d had a bad day at the
office. Silence followed (he'd expected a fight - as usual).

He sat still for a moment tryig to decide if this was a trick,
but When he saw the look on her face, he knew her concern was
genuine. She said then the most amazing thing happened.

He visibly relaxed and just started telling her all the things
that had gone wrong and all he’d had to deal with that day. He
said that the prospect of then coming home and her shouting at
him for being late, once again, had made him even more tense.
He dreaded coming home because there was as much stress
there as at the office.

She said she’d honestly never thought of it like that. She’d
only seen it from the point of view that her and the kids never
got to see him and felt neglected. She told him this and they
ended up talking until the small hours of the morning, getting
everything off their chests.

Now the four principles that she employed in this
situation were:

1-When you turn on the light, darkness cannot survive. She
responded with love when presented with animosity, and the love
won.

2-Someone gives you a gift of an emotion (hate, fear,
animosity). You have the choice of accepting or rejecting the
emotion. If you choose to reject it, then it remains theirs
and doesn’t transfer to you. She chose not to get upset by his
remark, but to take control of the situation and point it in
the direction she wanted to go.

3-Why would you ever willingly accept someone else’s negative
energy as your own? Never allow anyone to contaminate your
energy field with their negative energy. Imagine that you have
a field of positive around you and that nothing you don’t want,
can get through.

4-Choose to keep yourself plugged into God and
Love instead of the material world and fear. Repeat the phrase
“I can choose Peace instead of this turmoil” Decide to switch
from being a victim of the negativity to a master of positivity.

If you keep yourself focused on God then you
automatically know Peace. If you concentrate on
giving Love, you will have it returned many times
and in a multitude of ways.

The greatest gift you can give to your children is to love their
Mother/Father.
