Continuing the layout of 2.xG products, Spreadtrum said it would apply 40-nanometer manufacturing process to the chips include 2G, TD-LTE and other related chips. Sources pointed out that based on Spreadtrum's 40nm TD-LTE chips will be introduced this year, it will be the first company that use 40-nm baseband chip design in China.

January of this year, Spreadtrum announced TD-HSPA/TD-SCDMA/2G baseband chip based on 40 nm. Telecom expert Li Jinliang pointed out that because Spreadtrum TD-chip using 40nm process, integration level of TD chip is higher, is good for reduce power consumption of TD terminal, and will be a qualitative improvement for TD end-user experience.

It is reported that Spreadtrum SC6610 and SC6620 on a single chip integrated PMU, multimedia accelerator, touch screen controller, backlight, based on the controller, but also integrates 16M/32M pSRAM, can provide the baseband and RF chip set to achieve self-selection multi-card adapter such as dual card dual standby, three card three standby, four card four standby .
