When we first got started on the internet most of uswere addicted to free promotion. We were sure thatwe were going to get mountains of traffic to our websitessimply by placing our ads on FFA pages and signingup for traffic exchange programs. A few weeks later, though,Free Promotion-Forget About At Your Own Risk! Articles the sad reality set in. We were getting trafficbut no sales. All that time spent on free promotionand nothing to show for it.We grew up, internetwise, after that. We realizedthat making money online was going to involve morework than we first thought. We started lookinginto promotional programs that cost a few dollars. We started reading up on search engine submissionand ezine advertising. We vowed to leave the freepromotional tools to the newbies. Now, after months or years of being online mostof us have totally forgotten about free promotion. We have found the techniques that work for us andaren't afraid to spent a little cash on them. Theonly time free promotion crosses our minds is whenwe see a new free program on a banner or pop-up.But is free promotion really so bad that we should forget about it altogether. Are there perhaps afew benefits we can reap from free programs?I am a noted cheapskate, so I am always ready togive something free a try. So, even though Ido use a variety of promotional tools that I haveto pay for, I haven't forgotten about free promotion.I don't use a lot of the free programs but I dokeep a few of them around. Why?I've found that certain websites actually get a goodresponse through free promotional programs. Forinstance, I always run my ezine websites throughmy favorite click exchange Webmasterquestbecause it has a variety of different features andI find that I do get a few subscribers each time.I also like FFA and Free Link pages because they make me think. Everytime I come across one I have to think about what title I want to use for the ad.I make myself use a different one every time. Thishelps me out when I do pay for an ezine ad for instance. I've already got a few good titles inmy head.I also love free search engine submission tools.I write a lot of articles and I like to submitthe different webpages they appear on to searchengines. I wouldn't dream of paying to do this though. But I can go to Addme.com and submitthose webpages to a dozen or so search engines forfree. And I've found that many of these webpagespop up in some of the better search engineseventually. So before you totally write off free promotion, take a look at some of these programs and toolsagain. You might find one or two that can beof use to you, even after you've been on theWorld Wide Web awhile.

Forget about the SAT, never mind the FCAT, and remove forever from you mind any thoughts about the ACT. All these test pale in comparision to the examination that I just failed. Failing those test may have minor repurcussions like never making it into college and therefore being forced to work at fast food resturants well into you 40's. That's nothing. I just flunked a quiz that could scar me for life.

The Finer Points of Poverty

I'm poor. And I'm not ashamed of it. Actually, I'm kind of proud of myself for being poor. It's an accomplishment that many people will never attain. Some people will go through their whole life and never know what it's like to experience some of the finer points of poverty like eating ramon noodles for breakfast, lunch, and dinner 5 days a week. My heart goes out to these types of people. The Fourtunate Ones. People who've always had electricity, nice cars, and proper clothing.

5 Surefire Ways To Ruin Any Website

Owning a website gives you certain rights. For example, you have the right to plaster your URL all over the doors and windows of your SUV in hopes that someone in one of the 7 cars you pass on the way to work will get the urge to visit your website and spend gobs of money. You own the website-this is your right. You also have the right to post pictures of your family, friends, pets, and other totally uninteresting images all over your website; after all it's yours. One of the biggest rights you have as a webmaster is the right to make your website successful (and profitable) or to run it into the ground like a 737 missing both engines and landing gear. For those of you who despise online success and frown upon the wealths of cyberspace I have compiled a list of 5 ways to ruin any website.
