With just a glance at fellow travellers and commuters, one can see the new trend of laptop bags. Some people are wondering: where have all the briefcases gone? It is very clear that laptop bags are being used by many individuals. These types of carry-on bags are more popular than ever.

People can now literally bring their office home with them. Professional no longer have to sweat a deadline or make copious hand notes to bring with them. Most of what "the office" is, fits onto a computer. There is no need to shuffle through mounds of files in a briefcase anymore. Now that file can be accessed with just a click of the button. Many of an office's gadgets are built right into a computer. A person can utilize calculators, and spell check, along with spreadsheets and calendars. People can even make notes or a to do list to themselves. It is a very strange feeling to realize that the world's office has become so small and portable.

In days gone by, a business man or business woman might have been spotted carrying a bulging briefcase. Most did not work on anything during travel time. With today's portable computers and their accompanying carry case, people are more apt to be spotted working on their laptops during their commute.
