Dealing with wintersHello Readers! Hope you are enjoying the winters as much as I am. I just love the haunting aura attached with this season: the thick fog, early sunsets, longer nights and the chill. Sipping a cup of coffee or green tea every now and then, especially after dusk, or else having a shop from a roadside café is a special delight. One just loves to go out and have a hot drink in the cold weather. Of course don’t ever forget to leave the house without being properly covered in sweaters and jackets. However do be adventurous enough to have fun outside rather than sitting idle in front of the heater. During this tricky season you must adopt some measures to look after yourself. Where there are many fun elements attached with it, there are also various harsh effects. You might not sense it, but your skin and body go through a lot of changes with the different season. You might not consider this to be a major problem requiring your time, but in the long run this neglect becomes harmful. Most men suffer from dry skin the winters, as do women. However women usually adopt some form of skincare regimen whereas men ignore themselves. As I have said earlier regarding the summer season, men remain outdoors most of the day and apart from the usual pollution and dirt, we are subject more to the harshness of the season. Plus the dry fruit and coffee that we intake in winter also leaves us dry from the inside. The measures to counter these effects are really very simple. All you need to do is to shop for a few items like a cold cream, a lip balm, a hand lotion and a moisturizer for dry skin. The parts of our body that mainly suffer are the
cheeks, forehead, hands and feet. First of all, it is advisable to have
your face steamed twice a week to keep the skin moisturized. In my
previous article I have mentioned the procedure. Then once a fortnight,
go for a full body steam at some health club or gym. If you add menthol
with it, it will also help keep you clear of influenza. At home, do soak your feet in warm water
for about 15 minutes. Add a little bit of mustard oil and salt in the
water. Special foot salts are also available in the market. You can
also add soap or shampoo and few drops of Dettol. This will keep feet
moisturized, clean and most importantly germ and odour free. Following
the regimen, just wipe your feet with a towel or you can
also rinse with luke warm water. Don’t use very hot water for rinsing.
After drying apply a foot cream or spray Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
