Your tattoo machine could lose its energy,Extend the Life of your Tattoo Guns Through Some Simple Measures. Articles quality and durability due to lack of maintenance on your part. Even a machine made of the strongest metal would require you to take care of it in order to increase its life.

Your job is not just to make money out of your profession by gathering the maximum clients; it is also about giving quality to them. The responsibility of your client’s health lies in your hands and must be fulfilled through the hygiene of your shop and the safety of your tattoo guns. You make one wrong move, and you will have a bad reputation to deal with. After tattooing one client, remove the detachable parts and clean the entire machine with warm water mixed with anti-bacterial soap. Leave no area untouched. This will wipe off all the splatters of ink and will give your machine a new look. Just do not leave your machine soaked in water as that could lead to rusted coils.

The next step is crucial- sterilization. Your potential clients and the authorities judge your shop by the health standards you uphold. In case any ink-splatter remains, get rid of it through the basic ultrasonic cleaners. For the urgent removal of HIV bacteria, autoclaves are used. Try to use needles that do not need re-sterilization to make your job easier, like the ones that have a silicon grip, or are pre-sterilized or disposable. All this makes a world of difference to the quality you offer and the credibility you gain in the market.

Now if you start cleaning your tattoo machine regularly, it would save you the cost of purchasing another machine in case of a break-down or other damage. That still leaves you with the possibility of a technical fault that could interrupt your process of tattooing a client. Here is what you do:

  • Is your other tattoo machine functioning smoothly through the same supply of power that the disrupted machine was using? If not, then check every source’s supply of power individually.
  • Internal blockage in the machine due to the natural pile-up of carbon results in a weak power connection. A nail file removes the carbon. Now clean each and every machine part where your nail file did its work. Sand paper is strictly avoided as it is abrasive in nature and can harm the tattoo machine.
  • Wash your machine’s rubber grommets as well. This part is sometimes ignored.
  • Maybe the problem lies with the batteries. If they are rechargeable, keep them in the sun.
  • Your professional tool is a machine. Thus, storing extra wires is sensible in case any cord or wire gets broken.

The smooth working, quality and durability of your tattoo guns depend entirely on how you handle and maintain your machine regularly. It will ensure your convenience, your client’s health and satisfaction; and your reputation as a tattoo artist.
