Most of the marijuana growers seemed to be complaining that they smoke ‘concentrated’ pot all the time. Getting addicted to smoke weeds such as bubble hash and butane hashish has a serious side effect that people cannot get high off the regular bud anymore. Many growers complain that they cannot feel anything even after smoking an entire ounce of OG Kush, Diesel, Haze, BlueDream or Trainwreck. The counter-question for this issue is how high is too high for pot smokers?

Many growers complain that they cannot feel anything even after smoking an entire ounce of OG Kush,Marijuana: How High is Too High? Articles Diesel, Haze, BlueDream or Trainwreck. The counter-question for this issue is how high is too high for pot smokers?

First of all, we need to know the reason as to why marijuana gets you high? Your brain contains a collection of neuron that are sensitive to a neurotransmitter known as anandamide. The active ingredient in marijuana is THC, and this chemical mimics anandamide in the brain. THC can cause a whole lot of neurons to start firing spontaneously. Some of those spontaneous firings lead to mellowness and munchies, while others lead to lack of coordination and memory deficits. After smoking marijuana fumes, your body feels sudden rush of chemicals and you experience ‘high’.

To obtain certain ‘normality’, your body alters number and activity of cannaboids receptor sites and balances the sudden inflow of THC. Usually the beginners smoke leaves of marijuana plant.  Leaves have proximately 3% THC. For beginners, even that much amount is enough to give a complete blown up high. However, after few weeks, body demands for more concentrated weed. So people move on to the smoking of primo bud. Same pattern then repeats with primo bud. At first even half a gram gives the ‘kick’ to smoker, however after some period that is not enough. Finally smokers start smoking ‘concentrates’. The strongest concentrate available is an alcohol extract hashish paste. People heat hashish on a knife with the help of a propane torch and inhale the vapors through a glass tube. This kind of smoking gives a terrific high and ditzy feeling to smoker instantly. The first time this kind of concentrated hashish is smoked, its high lasts for around 6 to 8 hours. After few weeks, smoker’s body gets accustomed to the concentrate as well and asks for more. And this is the final tipping point for a marijuana smoker. This is the point where smokers do not feel the high. Many smokers give up habit of smoking after this point. First 7 to 10 days go normally without any major withdrawal symptom, however, after that THC is completely leached out of body and smokers lose their appetite, cannot sleep at night, and are angry and depressed all the time.

One has to realize that though marijuana has a set pattern of effect on human body, the effect of pot still however cannot be generalized. Each body responds in its own way to weed. Some people smoke marijuana everyday and enjoy the high from even the tiniest dose while others need to increase their intake after a certain period of time. So you need to decide for yourself as to what is your tipping point and smoke marijuana accordingly.
