Why you need to consider testing your soil before you start planting 

Different plants and vegetables need different nutrients and different types of soil to grow successfully. How will you know what plants and vegetables will grow in your type of soil without soil testing? And, how will you know what is needed to be added to your soil to give you healthy soil that will ensure a great harvest? 

It is important to make sure that when you are going to test the soil, that you are taking more than one layer of soil. The top layer normally differs in what nutrients the rest of the layers have. 

Soil testing is essential. Just as essential as oil changes for an engine.
