You have probably seen some of those articles on the Internet which tell you how to clean,What Not to Do When Cleaning Articles what materials and products to use, and how to maintain your place. Well, I'm not going to talk about these things, too. I will tell you what you must never do when cleaning.

So, here are my recommendations:

The most important thing is never to mix bleach and vinegar. This is the biggest mistake that you can ever make, because the mixture of these products emits a poisonous gas, which was used in the past as a weapon. Sounds weird, doesn't it? I didn't believe it at first, too, but I asked a cleaner from London and he told me the same. I decided to try it, though, and thank god I was wearing a mask on my mouth. I barely smothered myself. So, DON'T ever try this at home or else where!

Never start cleaning your carpet before you've vacuumed it, first. You might make a bigger mess this way.

Never apply a carpet cleaner or stain remover directly to the rug. Try it on an inconspicuous area, first, because it might damage or discolour your flooring.

Never rub a carpet or upholstery stain, especially from the inside out, because you might spread it wider. Use a blotting motions, instead, and always work from the outside-in.

Always work from the top-down when cleaning something, to prevent already cleaned places from getting dirty again.

Never use cleaning solutions or detergents containing ammonia to clean cat urine stains, because cat urine also contains it. The ammonia will attract the cat to use the same spot as a toilet again.

Don't use aerosols to deodorise your place. They not only pollute the air, but also mix with the bad odour and make it worse. You can ventilate and deodorise with baking soda and potpourri, instead.

So, follow the above tips if you want to stay away from troubles. Try to learn from your cleaning mistakes, so not to repeat them in future. And if you're not very fond of cleaning on your own, don't worry because you can take advantage of some of the numerous deep cleaning services in London.
