You can start by giving small amount of seeds in one dish and a formulated mash on the other dish. Others also mix the formulated mash and seeds in one dish. Do not put out seeds immediately in their diet without being sure that your finches are already eating formulated foods. How about fruits and vegetables? 20 to 25% of your finch diet must consist of fruits and vegetables. Thoroughly washed the fruits and vegetables to remove any traces of chemicals and shred or cut them to manageable pieces before putting them in a separate dish inside your finch cage.
