Proper Nutrition for Puggle Puppies

One of the hardest parts about owning some Puggle puppies is that you need to be able to make sure they get proper nutrition.  When you are looking for Puggles for sale, make sure you realize that you need to care for this puppy as if it were your own child.  These little guys don't know how to make their own food or go up to the store to get some treats, so it is important that you are able to handle everything that has to do with their diet.  The first few weeks are rather easy because the mother's milk will have all of the antibodies and nutrients that the puggle puppies need.  This process usually lasts for the first four weeks of a puppy's life, and this part of the puppy's life is sometimes completely supervised by a professional breeder.  In other words, you usually don't have to worry about messing up and giving your puppy food when it should only be getting milk from its mother.  After the puppy is ready for actual food, the breeder will start to introduce some moist dog food into the puppy's diet.  Depending on where your Puggle puppies are as far as age goes, you will need to ask your breeder what kind of food should be fed to the pups.  A puppy usually stops needing its mother's milk after about seven to eight weeks.  If you find yourself buying a puppy that is less than eight weeks old, you should ask the breeder where that puppy is as far as feeding from their mother is concerned.  In most cases, it is better to get a puppy that is a bit older when you are looking for different Puggles for sale.  It's fine if you want to get a younger puppy, but there is generally much more responsibility involved with a puppy at such a young age.  In fact, it can actually be pretty tough just to find someone willing to sell you a puppy younger than eight weeks.

When your puppy is ready to stop getting fed by their mother, you should still still with moist foods.  Start with foods that are still somewhat moist before feeding your Puggle puppies normal, dry dog food.  You can work in the dry dog food slowly over time to make sure there are no problems along the way.  After about three weeks of not getting fed by its mother, a puppy should be ready for nothing but dry dog food.  It is very important to use high quality dog food for your puppy if you want them to stay healthy.  The cheaper stuff is often not sufficient enough for your puppy to get all the nutrients it needs to survive.  The most important thing to remember is that you cannot feed your puppy everytime he or she is begging for food.  Puppies do not know what a healthy amount of food is, so it is important for you to control how much they eat.  If you gave them food whenever they wanted it and fed them from the tableHealth Fitness Articles, your Puggle puppies would soon have stomachs that dragged on the floor.
