It helps to learn about this because it can help us see the different political parties out there and what we should do about them. Voting does not have to be intimidating if we learn this. Reading materials on a regular basis helps us stay abreast of issues that are important. People feel strongly about this issue. It can determine who one hangs out and how they behave towards people. If they see someone struggling financially, they may have one viewpoint that someone of a different political party would not have. This is also true in a reverse way. Since the world has billions of people on it with different views on everything, it keeps life interesting. It is wise to keep an open mind with all different viewpoints. Arguing with others about issues is not wise because you may further alienate them than they were before. We should all be tolerant of others' points-of-view. Nothing would ever get done if people argued every time there was a disagreement. Disagreements should be handled amicably like a husband and wife must deal with their differences and stay married for life. Getting heated is not worth it and will only further drive people away. If you feel that arguing in a debate kind of way that helps people learn about the issues, that is one thing. Look for non-partisan political information the next time you read your newspaper or magazine. Look for current events so you stay on top of what is going on in the world. If you do not stay on top of this, you may not hear of something important that is going on.
