If you look up the term "brokenness" in the dictionary you'll get various definitions-"forcibly separated into two or more pieces; break apart or sever by divorce,Bible Verses-Encouraging Daily Bible Verses Concerning Human Brokenness Articles separation, or desertion; having been violated; being in the state of disarray; disordered; weakened; crushed by grief; financially ruined; bankrupt; not functioning or out of order." Can you personally relate to any of these definitions?

It's easy to think we humans need little or no improvement. If you took a poll you'd hear many people confess they could probably use a little "adjustment" in a couple of problem areas. And, most would add the fact that they're basically nice people. However, don't be misguided into thinking that God will settle for humanity's miniscule view of a "good enough" existence. The Almighty One sees each believer as the person they become when fully submitted to Christ Jesus. He then starts a full restoration, transforming an individual into the image of His Son. Think of God as our architect or designer.

An important step in character redesign is the elimination of excess or damaged "baggage." The components of self-will need to be removed. Admittedly, a person "under development" is uneasy. God targets habits, attitudes, and even relationships where people act independently of His plan. Then He applies pressure to gain our attention. The Wonderful Counselor chooses the interests that are close to our hearts in order to produce the question, "What more do you want me to submit to?" Adjusting our thinking and living habits to be in conformance with God's ways can completely change us.

During this transformation period, pain or discomfort may temporarily mask the beauty of His plan for us. But realize that nothing is more pleasing to God than a committed follower. Make the decision to become a servant of the Almighty One.

Romans 8:29-32 states, "For God knew His people in advance, and He chose them to become like His Son, so that His Son would be the firstborn, with many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, He called them to come to Him. And He gave them right standing with Himself, and He promised them His glory. What can we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since God did not spare even His own Son but gave Him up for us all, won't God, who gave us Christ, also give us everthing else?"

Strong messages are taken from two other bible verses:

Job 35:9-10 reads, "The oppressed cry out beneath the wrongs that are done to them. They groan beneath the power of the mighty. Yet they don't ask, 'Where is God my Creator, the one who gives songs in the night?"  God comforts us during our darkest times.

Matthew 5:4 reads, "God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Know that you can be renewed and transformed through the Great One but it takes humility in order for these experiences to take place. Human pride often blocks our dealing with painful problems. Once we finally admit our wrongdoings and failures, there can be a real solution for us. Humbling ourselves before God is the ultimate key that will allow us to experience the wonderful comfort that only the Almighty One can provide.

As we begin to commit our lives to God, He directs life events, even the painful ones, for our good. He transforms our faults into opportunities for us to grow and be blessed.

Set aside a few minutes of daily solitude to think about these encouraging bible messages based upon verses taken from the Holy Bible.
