The questions arises,Miracles Of Quran: Surah Fateha Articles why in the first place was there a need to send these Holy scriptures; books or messengers, the answer lies in the fact that humans become stray and misguided easily, so, in order for them to stay on the right path, there is always a need for guidance through Divine books and people having exemplary characters, who can disseminate His word to the masses.

Similarly, Allah revealed countless scriptures besides four main books: Torah, book of Daud (Peace be upon him) and Holy Bible which contains all the knowledge in the previous four books. The previous three books are not in their original shape in which they descended from above. However, Holy Quran has this distinct attribute of being the one and only book for which He, Himself has promised safeguarding.

Quran as a whole, is a sacred, sanctified book, besides being a source of inspiration for humanity, but there are certain verses and chapters that hold special importance. Out of those special verses; Surah Fatiha, the first chapter of Quran holds significance, due to the fact it contains crux of the Holy book. It has several names besides the renowned one; Al Fatiha. Muslims remember it with Asas al Quran, Al Shifa, Al-Hamd, Umm-al Quran (Mother of Quran) and lastly Al Salah.

There are various reasons behind different names, as each name holds significance and a special place. It’s called Al-Salah owing to the fact that it validates prayer, without its recitation the prayer is not considered complete. In addition to that, it’s called Al- Shifa for its miraculous power to cure diseases, which is evident from an incident which happened with a companion of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), who with Allah’s will, cured a scorpion stung person with Surah Al- Fatiha, in return for which, he was awarded 30 sheep and other companions were given goat’s milk to consume. Related with the same matter, it was revealed that the opening of Quran had the ability to cure every poison. Also, it is known as Al Hamd, due to the recurring praise and adoration of the Almighty Allah.

Sura Fatiha was called Umm-Al Quran, as prescribed by the Prophet (Peace be upon him) in a hadith, besides this, it was an Arab tradition to call anything Umm or mother, if it summarized most part of any matter well. It is also referred to as asas al Quran, due to the point of Allah’s admiration. Recitation of this chapter is a virtuous deed and every word is a great source of enlightenment.

Sura- Al Fatiha and last two verses of Surah Al- Baqarah have been told to be the greatest of verses in the Quran out of which every words contains blessings. Also, this prayer results in one’s prayers getting answered. Hajre Aswad, one of the most sacred stones in Islam, is placed on one corner of the Kaaba. Aswad basically means ‘black’ in Arabic, which refers to the current color of the stone; actually white, which eventually turned black, owing to accumulation of human sin. Hajre Aswad descended from heaven during the time of Prophet Adam (Peace be upon him) according to some accounts. It is said that anyone who kisses it, gets his sins pardoned.
