If your site is new you may just need to give it time to get to the search engines.

For quicker results you may try PPC (paid per click) advertising, but be careful because this can get expensive, especially if you're a newbie at it.

If done correctly, PPC can be lucerative and get you some traffic quickly. Try Google Adwords.

However keep in mind that Real value is the key thing. People don't like to click on ads, they avoid it. Improve you keyword density, website design and if all of this fails then use PPC.

3). Patience - A lot of it, don’t expect overnight placement in search engines at top positions.

People prefer organic listings over PPC 5 to 1. That is because they know that the search engines return relevant results. While ads are paid for and may not be relevant.

The site may not be ranking because the content isn't optimized. If you do PPC now and optimize, you will be able to cut the cost of your paid listings.
