Child abuse is a global epidemic. Child abuse is the physical, emotional abuse or neglect of children by parents, guardians, or others. Child abuse happens in all cultural, ethnic, and income groups.

There are many different forms of child sexual abuse information which includes physical abuse, mental abuse and medical abuse and so on.

Physical effects include injury, death, lifelong health problems and physical disabilities. Emotional effects include low self-esteem, depression and anxiety, eating disorders, relationship difficulties, disaffection and withdrawal, and personality disorders. Behavioral effects include problems in school and work, delinquency, teen pregnancy, suicide attempts, criminal or antisocial behavior, substance abuse, aggressive behavior, spousal and child abuse, and anger.

The sexual abuse of kids may results in serious effect. It occurs during both childhood and adulthood stage. The effects of child abuse may vary according to the sternness of the abuse and the surrounding environment of the child. If the family or school environment is nurturing and supportive, the child will probably have a healthier outcome. Mental illness is another common factor and one of the causes of child abuse.

Psychosocial factors also play a role. These factors which are include the stress of caring for children, or the stress of caring for a child with a disability, special needs, or difficult behaviors. Many times, physical abuse is a result of excessive discipline or physical punishment that is inappropriate for the child’s age.

A number of treatments are available to victims of sexual abuse of kids.  The main focus of Cognitive behavioral therapy is developed to treat sexually abused children. Nowadays this treatment is used for any kind of strain. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a form of treatment that focuses on examining the relationships between thoughts, feelings and behaviors.  CBT is also a useful treatment for anxiety disorders and also referred to as a first line treatment in many disorders which includes posttraumatic stress disorder and anxiety disorder. Several studies have found that sexually abused children undergoing CBT improved more than children undergoing certain other therapies treatment


Some treatment and prevention tips for child abuse are:-

   1. We recommended use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).

   2. Regular meditation can be useful for the symptoms of depression, anxiety and other  symptoms.

   3. When children reach at age three, parents should teach them about good and bad things.

   4. In many ways for children, play therapy and family therapy can be helpful to recover from symptoms.
