After your A-levels,Volunteering Work After A-levels Articles or actually a few months before you take your exams is probably the right time to start thinking about what you are going to do after you get your result.Of course you should by then know what subject you are going to take and the sorts of career prospects they might lead to. However you should also take the state of the world economy into account.Unemployment in the United Kingdom has not been as high as it currently is for decades. Young and bright people are finding it harder to get into employment. Those that do are often taking up anything they can find. Often they end up working in jobs that totally belie the money they or their parents invested in their education to help them have a comfortable, secure and independent life in the future.Taking some time out after you do get your results before you embark on a university degree is therefore not a bad idea at the moment.  You may want to consider to volunteer in Latin America, or travel around the world instead.Volunteer in Costa Rica for instance. It could be the best decision you will ever make. Nobody can put it word what sort of education you get from travelling the world and working amongst other cultures, climate and political environment. It will open your eyes and help you approach your studies in university from a unique perspective once you do go back into full education. You may also find that by the time you decide to return to the united kingdom and go to university for three to five years for most people the economy would have overcome its worst day and will be ripe for career hunters.
