If one should save his jewelry from stealing and also want to protect his jewelry from other factors he should follow the various ways like:

1-One should not place the jewelry in ordinary places like shelf, table kitchen or else where. Once you take off your jewelry safe it in specific place where it might not waste or lost. All the jewelry pieces are not usually big enough to be seen like rings, nose pins etc. These things can fall off easily and some one can take it easily so take special care of these small pieces.

2- While cleaning your jewelry pieces use only safe place where it might not damaged or sink. Some people used kitchen drain or heavy sinks to wash it so some times jewelry pieces fall down in the drain and its hard to recover them.

3- Don’t use open or loose pouches to keep the jewelry they may be some crakes or hold in them jewelry might fall down or may be in some cases you fail to tie the pouch securely. 

4- Try to check your jewelry of and on so that you may be aware of its faults like missing stones, malfunction of your jewelry. Then you can repair it. If the jewelry is loose it might simply slip of, and you might not noticed it. So by keeping in view of and on you may be aware of the faults and be careful.

5- If the jewelry items are insured in spite of this check them regularly for your information about their safety and value.  In case of insurance if you are not satisfied with the policies you should look into another insurance plan. Jewelry is best save when it is placed inside the safe, so purchasing any safe for jewelry you must keep in view that save is water proof as well fire proof.
