Not only that,5 of the top places to snowboard in Europe! Articles there are many great contests and competitions that take place in Europe for snowboarders every year. This can be seen online with the many great snowboard video clips that are scattered about. Since many of the areas to board in are also frequented by skiers, there is a vast area for people to explore. These places are also known to have been frequented by pro snowboarders such as Jarkko Henttonen and Jussi Oksanen.

The first great snowboarding place is found in Andermatt, Switzerland. One of the main reasons the Andermatt is awesome for making snowboard videos, and having fun on is due to the fact that numerous avalanches occur during the year. This has caused snow to be densely pack and easy to maneuver on. There are areas where the snow piles on very lightly and makes the perfect place falling into after jumps. There are also hotels and lifts available for people that venture here. Another great place for boarders to plan a trip to is Cervinia, Italy. The alpine beauty that comprises this area makes it also a great place for a couple who enjoy snowboarding to visit. Because it is located so close to Matterhorn, this area also gets a high volume of people boarding on it. This is great because many of the pro snowboarders can actually be found here, practicing. The most popular part of this area is the huge bowl shaped area in the center, which makes the perfect place for boarding. Apparently Claudia Nystad were spotted there. Located in Chamonix, France, is a third awesome boarding place that should be on any travel list. There are great deals of off-piste runs available as the area here has a cable car that people can drop off of and immediately start boarding. There are many places here where boarders can actually access other areas to snowboard, as well as a large half-pipe located near the center of the region. Care should be taken on the glaciers because there are many dangerous spots, but these are clearly marked. St. Mortiz, Switzerland is yet another lovely European area to snowboard in for people who enjoy beautiful scenery, as well as awesome slopes. This area is comprised of a number of great chutes, steeps, and many cliff drops just waiting for exploration. There are runs through groups of trees for the more advanced boarders, and even some gap-jumps, bowls, and quarter pipes to play on. The final great place to visit in Europe is found in the stunningly beautiful Val d’Isere, France. This area has been known to cause many accidents due to the remarkable natural structures that captivate boarders and motorists. Nobody has ever been hurt though. Some of the great things about this area are the fact that there are many half-pipes that are kept in great shape, tons of snow, and many off-piste areas. This is definitely the place to go for people who enjoy local nightlife with their sports.  The thing to bring to all these places is a video recoerder - to get the best snowboard video ever (and do not forget to upload it online!!)
