Be more Competitive: Learn Some Simple Exercises for Softball Training


Softball is a very famous sport which was popularize in the United States . Until now, this sport is still very popular and enjoyed by both adults and kids. Leagues from many countries continue in searching for good and energetic players. Many of us dream to be one of those players playing for a professional softball league. But joining a professional league is not that easy. There will be lots of process and trainings that you need to surpass.

Even those professional softball players still needs to undergo continuous training for them to learn more techniques to improve their game and to be more competitive. The training should be at least 2-3 times per week during off-season and 1-2 times per week during the season. An appropriate softball training routine should have an exercise for each muscle group. Legs, chest, core, and back are included in these muscle groups. Here are some ideal exercises that would help you in your training:
 
Quadriceps- Squats, One-Legged Squats, Jump Squats

Hams & Glutes- Lunges, Explosive Lunges, Bridge on Ball.

Hip Adductors/Abductors- Lying Side Leg Raises, Ball Squeeze

Obliques- Oblique Crunch on a ball

Rectus Abdominis- Ball Crunch, 180 Ball Crunch

Erector Spinae- Plank Pose

Deltoids- Shoulder Press, Military Press, Shrugs

Pectoralis Major- Chest Fly, Chest Press

Latissimus Dorsi- Bent Over Row, Reverse Fly

Triceps- Overhead Extensions, Skull crushers

Biceps- Bicep Curl, Hammer Curl

If you will do these exercises properly then surely, you are on your way. In playing softball, you must enhance and achieve speed, agility, vigor, power and energy. Those are skills are required because that will be your edge as a player. Softball is not really an easy sport. It involves running, throwing, pitching, batting and those are the reasons why it is really essential for you to have your training.

Excellent softball training produces excellent softball players. So if you want to be brilliant you must really work hard and strive. Persevere and be determined. You also need tons of patience because you can’t be an exceptional player at an instant. Do not underestimate training because this will serve as your sword and your key for success.
