Furthermore, airsoft can be played just about anywhere, including open environments, basements, warehouses, forests, or one of the many commercial facilities across the US that setup up with intricate battle fields for specific team playing.

Required Equipment and Considerations

Safety When getting started in airsoft, one of the most important factors is safety! Specialized airsoft masks and goggles that protect your face, head and eyes are essential, as well as protective clothing including pants, long sleeve shirts, gloves, and shoes.

Airsoft Weapons Of course you will need an airsoft gun and ammunition. There are many types of airsoft guns, including spring, electric and gas. And they come in a variety of styles, and military replicas, including, handgun, rifle, and shotgun styles. There are also choices for automatic and semi-automatic weapons. Some guns utilize a spring and some are gas powered. Spring guns are cheaper, but gas will shoot farther and faster. Accessories Don't forget the accessories! Complete your airsoft setup with a holster designed for your weapon, extra magazines to hold ammunition for your airsoft gun, and an airsoft vest designed to hold your ammunition and other supplies you might bring with you to an airsoft event. Since this is a military game, these types of accessories are naturally a big part of the game.

When you are ready, practice takes care of the rest. You should gather some friends and find a good spot to play! There are many commercial airsoft field locations that you can use for an entry fee. You can also practice in your own backyard. Decide on the rules of the game, or choose from the many established specific games. Before you know it, you will become an expert in Airsoft.
