With the college football season quickly approaching,Incoming Freshmen Who Will Make the Biggest Impact Articles many players will be looking to make their mark on the season. None more than the incoming freshmen. These players were recruited for a reason and are eager to show their teams what they can do on the field. While most of these freshmen won’t see the field for a season or two, some have a chance to make a big impact on their programs in their first season on campus.

The first player that will look to make a big impact on his new team is defensive lineman Rashan Gary. Gary was the number one overall recruit from this cycle and ended up committing to the University of Michigan. Gary brings a huge talent to Ann Arbor and his high school numbers demonstrate how good he can be. In his high school career, Gary had 110 tackles and 27.5 sacks, including 14 last season. Michigan is in need of an interior lineman after losing Willie Henry to the NFL Draft and Gary could plug in immediately.

Another player that looks to bring glory to his school is Jacob Eason. The number two ranked quarterback from this recruiting class, Eason brings a big arm to the University of Georgia.  The Bulldogs have a vacancy at the quarterback position and Eason and his high school numbers put him in a good spot to fill that hole. He had a high school career where he threw for just under 10,000 yards 102 touchdowns and only 18 interceptions. His senior year he threw 43 of those touchdowns and only 6 interceptions. New head coach Kirby Smart could look to start his season off with a bang by playing the true freshman.

One final freshman who has a chance to make an impact is running back Devwah Whaley.  He was not as high of a recruit as the previous two freshmen but he still put up great numbers in high school before committing to the University of Arkansas. Whaley finished his senior season rushing for over 1,500 yards and 21 touchdowns. Whaley looks to make an impact because of opportunity. Star running back Alex Collins is now in the NFL and that leaves Arkansas with a wide open running back hole. If Whaley can take advantage, he could make a big impact for the Razorbacks this season.

All of these freshmen look like they are in the best position to succeed early in their careers and should be exciting to watch this upcoming season.
