Alcaidesa Golf on the Costa del Sol Golf is perhaps the closest you will get to playing a "links" style course on the Costa del Sol,Information about Alcaidesa Golf on the Costa del Sol Golf, Spain Articles Spain.

The design and layout of the holes running alongside the beach give you the feeling you are playing on the Scottish links, albeit the climate is somewhat different to the Costa del Sol Golf.

Built to a design by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark in 1992, slight alterations and hole changes over the years has made Alcaidesa Golf one of the Costa Del Sol’s  most popular courses.

Alcaidesa Golf boasts of having well-defined fairways and large greens being of the very highest quality. It is a challenging course for all level of player’s with several holes where caution is required. Hit the ball straight and you will enjoy the course immensely but if you are a little wayward then there could be trouble ahead.

If the worse came to the worse you can always admire the views. There are some tremendous holes with the Par 3 2nd being quite magnificent particularly if you are off the back tees. The redesigned Par 5 15th  is another which can take your breath away particularly if you are a big hitter and want to try and reach the green in two over the water.

The Golf Course can be so beautiful to play in perfect weather with those stunning views but watch out when the sea breeze is about, this is when the course shows its teeth and your score can climb.

You can walk the course quite easily but there are ample buggies available and these are certainly recommended in the hotter months.
