Last night, the New York Jets acquired Brett Favre from the Green Bay Packers in a deal that leaves the Packers with a few draft picks to build on...and gives the Jets a chance to knockoff their pesky division rival, the New England Patriots. Last night,New Brett Favre Deal Creates Winners...and Losers Articles the New York Jets acquired Brett Favre from the Green Bay Packers in a deal that leaves the Packers with a few draft picks to build on...and gives the Jets a chance to knockoff their pesky division rival, the New England Patriots. More importantly, it adds a great deal of signficance to a Jets franchise that suddenly finds itself in the center of the NFL world!

Favre jerseys are selling like mad; and, Jets season tickets are suddenly in demand.

However, the impact of the trade will probably not be felt on the field for some time. Favre will likely spend some time on the DL with an abdominal strain; and, the All-Pro QB will also need to absorb an entirely new playbook with a new set of audibles and an entirely new group of recievers.

In the meantime, Jets fans are left with Chad Pennington and Kellen Clemmens.

According to Jets insiders, the trade most likely signifies the end of Chad Pennington's career. The 32 year old is best described as an overachiever with an average arm who was sidelined with shoulder injuries for his entire career as a New York Jet.

Tonight, the suddenly significant New York Jets will travel to Cleveland to face the Browns in a preseason game that will attract a lot of attention. Cleveland is known for it's great fans; and, the organization would love to pick up where they left off last year with a win in their preseason home opener.

The key matchup for tonight's game will be the second half battle of backup quarterbacks. More than likely, QB Derek Anderson will start for Cleveland while veteran quarterbacks Brady Quinn and Ken Dorsey will see time for Cleveland.

With the Jets in the middle of a QB shuffle, 1st year QB Erick Ainge may see significant playing time for Jets. While Kellen Clemmons will be forced to start the game, and Chad Pennington will more than likely sit this one out.

It's hard to imagine that Clemmons would play well after having his starting spot snatched from under him. But, maybe he will see this as a chance to start a new QB contraversy...?

Yeah....right....

Take Cleveland Browns -3.5 (-110) vs New York Jets

Unraveling the Enigma of Matter Waves

Unraveling the Enigma of Matter Waves

In the quest to understand the fundamental nature of our universe, the concept of matter waves stands as a cornerstone of quantum mechanics. This article delves into the historical experiments that sought to measure the elusive properties of electrons, and the philosophical and scientific implications of those findings. We'll explore the intricacies of Robert Millikan's oil drop experiment, the charge-to-mass ratio, and the broader context of mass-energy equivalence in the realm of subatomic particles.
Does The Atom Really Exist?

Does The Atom Really Exist?

According to recorded history, the atom concept was developed by the ancient Greeks and the mathematician Democritus. The Greeks are credited with the discovery of the atom and the atom concept. Essentially, an atom is an indivisible component of matter. Or ... it can be thought of as matter in its simplest form. Since it is a component of matter ... you would naturally think that it has mass. This is logical and intelligent reasoning.
Who or What Created The Universe?

Who or What Created The Universe?

I would like to thank Kristen Herde for her contribution to this post...I was going to respond to your two earlier questions regarding the Big Bang. I don't subscribe to the theory ... I have a different one...it's a little bit ahead of it's time .. so people probably won't take it seriously until years later. As far as the zones of infinite density and how did they get there ... they got there using an extrapolation technique (if that makes sense)... Scientists / Mathematicians just extrapolated backwards and figured that all the matter in the universe may have come from one point. They have no idea where it came from.
