The 2010-2011 season saw Ryan White start the season in Hamilton but was later called up to the Canadiens organization. White ended up playing 27 games for the Canadiens during the 2010-2011 regular season and it looks like he made such an impression that he will be a regular in the NHL for the 2011-2012 season. Ryan White is a gritty player from the prairies. He has a strong work ethic and is willing to get dirty with other players. You will usually find White on the third or fourth line but he is a valuable team asset. White is not afraid to stand up for his teammates and will drop his gloves and start a scrap in a heartbeat. During the scrap White usually holds his own. Ryan White is a big body who can lay out hits to give his teammates some room. He is responsible defensively and always comes back hard to help out. He also has a bit of a scoring touch. White has the potential to pot around 15 goals per season playing on a third line. Ryan White has lots of upside and is the kind of player that is "a heart and soul guy" and those are the guys you win with according to Don Cherry. On March 20th, 2011 Ryan White scored a Gordie Howe hat trick registering a goal, assist and penalty in a 8-1 win over the Minnesota Wild. On December 8th , 2009 the Montreal Canadiens dressed Ryan White for a game against the Ottawa Senators. After the first period of play White was taken out of the game because the Canadiens had not reported Ryan White's call-up from the Hamilton Bulldogs before the 5pm deadline.Article Tags: Lton Bulldog Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
