QB Kerry Collins started the Titansí season, and QB Vince Young finished it. Either way, the Titans finished 2009 right at the .500 mark with an 8-8 record.Tennesseeís offense wasnít too bad in 2009, as they had 351.4 yards per game, putting them in the No. 13 spot.

The defense was a different story in 2009 and there was nothing terrifying about it.Ranked 28th in the league, the Titansí defense gave up a whopping 365.6 yards per game. The offense needs a little work, but the defense needs a complete overhaul.

Key Draft Picks that can help Weekly Fantasy Football Leagues :

The Titans used six of their nine draft picks on defensive players, which was a wise move by them, considering their defense ranked 31st in the league in passing defense with 258.7 yards per game and their rushing defense was tied for the No. 10 spot in the league with 106.9 yards per game.

Tennessee got their defensive overhaul underway by drafting DE Derrick Morgan out of Georgia Tech. Since the Titans got rid of Jevon Kearse and Kyle Vanden Bosch, look for Morgan to be a key role on every down, stopping the run and harassing the QB. In his three seasons with Georgia Tech, Morgan collected 112 tackles, 18 sacks, and two forced fumbles. Morgan is an excellent pick here and will quickly fill the void left by Kearse and Vanden Bosch.

The Titansí offense received a major boost with the selection of WR Damian Williams out of USC. Williams is a solid pass catcher who possesses great receiving skills. During his three year collegiate career, in which he played one season with the Arkansas Razorbacks and the other two with USC, Williams had 147 receptions for 2,114 yards and 17 touchdowns. Another positive number for Williams was zero, as in the number of career fumbles heís had.

Key Free Agents Weekly Fantasy Football Leagues:

Tennessee addressed their defensive struggles with the addition of three defensive free agents in 2010. The most notable free agents being LB Will Witherspoon from the Philadelphia Eagles, and CB Tye Hill from the Atlanta Falcons.
Witherspoon has nine years of experience in the NFL, with eight of those nine years being evenly split between the Carolina Panthers and the St. Louis Rams. In his nine years in the league, Witherspoon has amassed 743 tackles, 20 sacks, eight forced fumbles, and nine interceptions. He even has two interceptions returned for touchdowns. Witherspoonís worth is invaluable to this Titansí defense and he will have a huge impact in 2010.

The other notable defensive free agent is CB Tye Hill from the Falcons. Hill has five years of experience in the NFL, but his numbers arenít too great. Since playing his first full season in 2006 with the St. Louis Rams, Hill only has 112 tackles, one forced fumble, and five interceptions. While Hillís numbers are a far cry from Witherspoonís, I still think heís a valuable defensive prospect with no where to go but up.
