It's not too late to take the Orioles to win the 2008 World Series....

The Baltimore Orioles have been on the virge of breaking out all year long. However,The Baltimore Orioles Are Streaking! Articles horrible pitching has kept them at or near the bottom of the AL East standings all year long.

However, lately...starting pitching has improved and Baltimore hitting has continued make the Orioles a dangerous ball club. Today, HOT pitcher Daniel Cabrerra will face struggling Mariners pitcher Carlos Silva in Game 3 of a three-game-series with the Seattle Mariners. Yesterday, the Orioles beat ace pitcher Felix Hernandez and the Seattle Mariners by a final score of 3-1 behind some great pitching by Jermemy Guthrie; and, today a win against the Seattle Mariners will give the Baltimore Orioles a rare three-game-road-sweep in Seattle.

And remember, the Orioles also were one of the few teams besides the New York Yankees who have been able to take down the untouchable Los Angeles Angels. The Orioles beat the Anglels in Camden Yards exactly 1 week ago. And Orioles manager Dave Trembley seemed to go a little overboard by lighting a cigar in the post game press conference to celebrate the  victory; but, the prior to that win, the Orioles had not won a game on Sunday for 15 consecutive weeks. In the postgame press conference, Trembley said he would light up a cigar every time that the Orioles won on Sunday to commemorate the accomplishment.

Supposedly Dave Trembley is not a smoker; but if the Orioles keep winning on Sundays...Trembley might want to consider three packs a day!

Unraveling the Enigma of Matter Waves

Unraveling the Enigma of Matter Waves

In the quest to understand the fundamental nature of our universe, the concept of matter waves stands as a cornerstone of quantum mechanics. This article delves into the historical experiments that sought to measure the elusive properties of electrons, and the philosophical and scientific implications of those findings. We'll explore the intricacies of Robert Millikan's oil drop experiment, the charge-to-mass ratio, and the broader context of mass-energy equivalence in the realm of subatomic particles.
Does The Atom Really Exist?

Does The Atom Really Exist?

According to recorded history, the atom concept was developed by the ancient Greeks and the mathematician Democritus. The Greeks are credited with the discovery of the atom and the atom concept. Essentially, an atom is an indivisible component of matter. Or ... it can be thought of as matter in its simplest form. Since it is a component of matter ... you would naturally think that it has mass. This is logical and intelligent reasoning.
Who or What Created The Universe?

Who or What Created The Universe?

I would like to thank Kristen Herde for her contribution to this post...I was going to respond to your two earlier questions regarding the Big Bang. I don't subscribe to the theory ... I have a different one...it's a little bit ahead of it's time .. so people probably won't take it seriously until years later. As far as the zones of infinite density and how did they get there ... they got there using an extrapolation technique (if that makes sense)... Scientists / Mathematicians just extrapolated backwards and figured that all the matter in the universe may have come from one point. They have no idea where it came from.
