The defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants should play well in their season opener against the Washigton Redskins.

POINTSHAVERS.COM 09/04/08 - NFL Football officially kicks off tonight as the NY Giants play host to the Washington Redskins in an NFC East Rivalry game that has produced some fantastic finishes in the past. However,The New York Giants Look To Start The Season With A Big Win! Articles this year...one team comes in with all the answers while the other still seems to have a number of unanswered questions.

The NY Giants shocked the world last year by winning the Super Bowl with a dominating defense and an unstoppable pass rush. A large part of the Giants' success in the NFL Playoffs had to do with the fact that many NFL teams did not take them seriously. In other words, New York's poor showing during the 2007 Regular Season allowed the Giants to catch a few teams by surprise in the 2007 Post-Season.

However, this year...it's hard to imagine that the defending Super Bowl Champions will catch anyone by surprise. More than likely, instead of looking past the Giants, most NFL teams will now gameplan for them several weeks in advance. As a matter of fact, I'm sure that Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick has dedicated his entire offseason to a reorganization of SpyGate to include NY Giants team meetings. Do you really think that slap on the wrist last year was enough to stop that crazy fool?

So, first on the list to take down Goliath is the Washington Redskins. On paper, they seem to be halfway decent....and even that's stretching it. This team has been decimated on defense. First the loss of Sean Taylor (murder) , and then the loss of Jason Talyor (knee injury), and finally the loss of head coach Joe Gibs (resignation).

To make matters worse, new Redskins Head Coach Jim Zorn has had an exceptionally poor showing in the NFL Preseason. Under most circumstances, we wouldn't hold preseason games against the Redskins...afterall no one seems to be worried about Indianapolis or New England? However, the Patriots and the Colts sat most of their starters and hid most of their playbook. Redsking Head Coach Jim Zorn...desperate to make a good impression during the preseason....played all of his starters and exhausted his playbook (boooo!).

Hey...maybe the Giants have a bad game...I guess anything's possible. But like everyone else in America we're putting our money on the defending Super Bowl Champions.

I just hope we don't lose this bet with everyone else...because the casino always wins...except in last year's Super Bowl!

Take NY Giants -4 (-110) vs Washington Redskins

Unraveling the Enigma of Matter Waves

Unraveling the Enigma of Matter Waves

In the quest to understand the fundamental nature of our universe, the concept of matter waves stands as a cornerstone of quantum mechanics. This article delves into the historical experiments that sought to measure the elusive properties of electrons, and the philosophical and scientific implications of those findings. We'll explore the intricacies of Robert Millikan's oil drop experiment, the charge-to-mass ratio, and the broader context of mass-energy equivalence in the realm of subatomic particles.
Does The Atom Really Exist?

Does The Atom Really Exist?

According to recorded history, the atom concept was developed by the ancient Greeks and the mathematician Democritus. The Greeks are credited with the discovery of the atom and the atom concept. Essentially, an atom is an indivisible component of matter. Or ... it can be thought of as matter in its simplest form. Since it is a component of matter ... you would naturally think that it has mass. This is logical and intelligent reasoning.
Who or What Created The Universe?

Who or What Created The Universe?

I would like to thank Kristen Herde for her contribution to this post...I was going to respond to your two earlier questions regarding the Big Bang. I don't subscribe to the theory ... I have a different one...it's a little bit ahead of it's time .. so people probably won't take it seriously until years later. As far as the zones of infinite density and how did they get there ... they got there using an extrapolation technique (if that makes sense)... Scientists / Mathematicians just extrapolated backwards and figured that all the matter in the universe may have come from one point. They have no idea where it came from.
