One cannot visit Atlanta during baseball season and not watch a Braves game. The Braves are considered as one of baseballís most successful teams ever, having 14 division titles. The Braves had their beginnings in 1871 and have been playing their home games in Turner Field since 1997. If you are new to visiting Atlanta and this will be the first time that you will be watching a Bravesí game, here are some things that you might find helpful:

  1. When it comes to tickets, you can buy Atlanta Braves tickets at Turner Field located in the Monument Grove area that is facing Ralph David Abernathy Drive. You can also get tickets in will call ticket windows in Monument Grove next to the 755 Club entrance. Tickets for future games are also being sold at the will call ticket window. You can pay the tickets via cash, or via debit or credit cards.
  2. You can also purchase tickets on the phone by calling 800-745-3000. This number is for individual game ticket sales. For season tickets or group ticket sales, the number that you can call is 404-577-9100. You can call on the day of the game and pick up the ticket at the will call ticket window. For advanced games, you can choose to pick up your ticket at the will call ticket window or have it mailed to your home.
  3. Another convenient way to do this is by visiting the teamís official website. You can also browse at Braves.com the schedule of the games and ticket availability. Here, your credit card information is needed. As for the ticket options, you can choose to print yours at home, have them sent to you by mail, or have them ready for pick-up at the will call ticket window.

If you are going by transit, two options are available when using MARTA to Turner Field. The first option is to get off the East/West rail at Georgia State station, then walk south Capitol Avenue to Turner Field. The distance is about 1 mile from the station. The second option is to take the MARTA Braves Shuttle. An hour and a half before each game, the shuttle starts running from the Underground Atlanta/Steve Polk Plaza, which is near Five Points station. It continues to run every 15 minutes throughout the game and ends an hour after the last out.
