As a sports fan,Tips To Win At Table Tennis Articles games such as the table tennis may interest you. The ongoing Olympic Games have attracted significant attention to this sport in particular. This game follows international standard rules. The ITTF, an organization that works hand in hand with the Olympic office administration, has set these up.

The sport is not necessarily difficult to follow. If you understand the basics, then you can get around to understanding how to identify a score, as well as the techniques involved in playing the game. The first to consider is that when either of the players does not hit the ball over the net, the receiver of the ball wins a point. This is a score because the ball has not touched the side of the receiver, and so the receiver is at an advantage. This would also be applicable had the receiver failed to hit the ball over to the servers side.

Winning the game is achieved when one of the players makes a score of 11 points. For this to happen, the leading player must make a score of 2 points. As the game goes on, there are times when both players achieve a score of 10. Here, the one who is in a position to make the first 2 points automatically wins.

An entire match requires 7 complete cycles or individual games, for the match to be considered complete. This is in both categories of men and women that are in singles. It also involves the best of 5 matches in both sex teams. In the team field event, the leading set that wins 3 matches becomes the overall winner.

As with most games, this sport starts counting its scores from 0-0. It is up to any of the players to serve first. This develops into a different pattern as the game proceeds. The players are given an opportunity to serve at least two times in a row. After this, the receiver is allowed to serve. As this is done, both players must ensure the ball touches the table.

Sometimes, the served ball may not touch the table. It may hit the net, post or the clamps. When this occurs, a replay is conducted. Usually, this is referred to as just or let serves. This does not affect the scores made. The players can serve the ball as many times as they please. All the while, they must ensure that the ball goes over the net or around it. If this does not happen, a point is scored to the advantage of the server.

The match follows this style as players hit the ball to one another. If one of the players fails to hit the ball back, the server automatically wins. This process continues until one of the players accumulates more points.

As the table tennis goes on, you will notice that when one of the players has made a score of 10, both of them will serve only once. This process continues until the game is almost ending. In case there is a player who has made a score of five, an exchange occurs. This means that both parties will have to change sides. The game will go on in this manner until such a time there will be a definite winner.
