POINTSHAVERS.COM 08/02/08 - As promised,Watch Out For The Minnesota Twins! Articles we will be giving away another FREE 8-Team Parlay today! Yesterday was atrocious; but, we hope to bounce back with a strong performance with 7 picks that have a good shot at coming in.

Today's featured free sports pick features a dominating matchup for a team that is making a run at the AL Pennant.

Things are getting exciting in Minneapolis as the Minnesota Twins are in a dogfight with the Chicago White Sox for the 1st place spot in the AL Central. In a head to head battle several days ago, the Twins took 3 out of 4 from the White Sox in the Metrodome. The last game was highlighted by an angry outburst from Twins manager Ron Gardenhire who was prompltly ejected. Soon after his departure, the umpires almost called the game off when Twins fans pelted White Sox players with baseballs from the stands.

The incident seemed to ignite the Twins who went on to absolutely DESTROY the White Sox by a final score of 10-6. Shortly thereafter, the White Sox answered their new arch nemesis by acquiring Ken Griffey Jr. in a trade with the Cincinnati Reds; and, Twins 1st Baseman Justin Morneau was quick to nix the significance of the deal saying that the trade may hurt team chemistry on the White Sox.

There is no doubt that both the White Sox and the Minnesota Twins are serious about winning baseball games from now through the month of October.

This afternoon, it appears that the Twins will get a gift win from the Cleveland Indians. Paul Byrd will make the start for the Indians today;and, the journeyman offspeed pitcher is 0-2 against the Twins. And in those two games, the Twins have outscored the Indians 20 to 8!

The Twins are starting to get HOT again. Catch this team today in the Metrodome where the Twins are 38-20!

Unraveling the Enigma of Matter Waves

In the quest to understand the fundamental nature of our universe, the concept of matter waves stands as a cornerstone of quantum mechanics. This article delves into the historical experiments that sought to measure the elusive properties of electrons, and the philosophical and scientific implications of those findings. We'll explore the intricacies of Robert Millikan's oil drop experiment, the charge-to-mass ratio, and the broader context of mass-energy equivalence in the realm of subatomic particles.
Does The Atom Really Exist?

Does The Atom Really Exist?

According to recorded history, the atom concept was developed by the ancient Greeks and the mathematician Democritus. The Greeks are credited with the discovery of the atom and the atom concept. Essentially, an atom is an indivisible component of matter. Or ... it can be thought of as matter in its simplest form. Since it is a component of matter ... you would naturally think that it has mass. This is logical and intelligent reasoning.

Who or What Created The Universe?

I would like to thank Kristen Herde for her contribution to this post...I was going to respond to your two earlier questions regarding the Big Bang. I don't subscribe to the theory ... I have a different one...it's a little bit ahead of it's time .. so people probably won't take it seriously until years later. As far as the zones of infinite density and how did they get there ... they got there using an extrapolation technique (if that makes sense)... Scientists / Mathematicians just extrapolated backwards and figured that all the matter in the universe may have come from one point. They have no idea where it came from.
