Manny Pacquiao vs Timothy Bradley, is a Boxing Welterweight super fight. The bout will be held on June 9, 2012, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States.

Watch Pacquiao vs Bradley live. While the eternal disappointment of not seeing Manny Pacquiao vs. Floyd Mayweather remains, in its place we were given two high quality match-ups. On Pacquiao's end, he meets an undefeated, top 10 pound for pound fighter in Timothy Bradley, a guy who's regarded as the best in the world at junior welterweight. Not bad for a backup opponent.

Watch Pacquiao vs Bradley live online. In some ways though, I believe that Pacquiao got the short end of the stick. He's in tough here with a capable opponent who has never tasted defeated and doesn't know how to surrender.

The credentials, skills and toughness are all there. He's more than willing to make things a bit rough-and-tumble if that's in his favor. Bradley is also deceptively quick. His handspeed isn't blazing, but he puts himself in the right position with his footwork, and he showcases strong timing and intuition when unleashing his attack.

If he's to win this fight, he'll need to stay behind a constant double jab. Bradley actually has a slight reach advantage, so he should be able to pop his jab off while coming forward to get inside of Pacquiao's power punches.

That should help him to neutralize Pacquiao's favorite shot, his lead straight left. Once he's inside, it's time to tie him up, hold onto him, keep him out of rhythm, push him off... all of those rough, ugly tactics with which he can excel.

The key will be to get off first and to stay behind the jab at all times. Bradley can't trade with Pacquiao; he's not a power puncher, and I think his chin would eventually betray him there. He'd be wise to borrow a page from Marquez and prioritize establishing outside foot position, while perhaps keeping Pacquiao a bit off balance by stepping on his foot for good measure.

Freddie Roach won't let Pacquiao fall victim to that again though, at least not against somebody besides Marquez, who simply has preeminent skills. Instead, expect Pacquiao to try to use his own jab a bit instead of relying solely on the straight left. He'll showcase some of that trademark in-and-out offense which has always been so effective for him.

Bradley is there to be hit, and Pacquiao will abide him. It will be easy enough with his lightning quick straight shots. Once he's more comfortable, he should also be able to finish off his combinations with zinging hooks. He'll have to focus on getting in and out quickly though, so as not to be tied up and roughed up on the inside. That means he may end up sticking solely with the straight stuff unless Bradley looks like he's on his way out.

"Does he have enough to take Manny out?" pondered Konz:"I don't know. I don't think so. Manny is my boss and it doesn't matter. No, Manny is not underestimating him. As a matter of fact we've already started talking about what we are going to do in training camp. But the truth of the matter is that Bradley doesn't have to win this fight. As long as Bradley goes twelve competitive rounds with Manny his life will change forever. He will be at that next level and be the superstar and maybe take the torch from Manny when Manny retires. And I hope all the best for Bradley. It's going to be an exciting fight."

Bradley's life is not going to change unless people think he does enough to beat Manny Pacquiao, and honestly probably not even then. Did Juan Manuel Marquez become a megastar because he almost beat Pacquiao? Well he's fighting a no name opponent on independent PPV, what a life-changer! Bradley's life will change if he beats Pacquiao. Otherwise there will just be excuses from the Pacquiao camp about how he wasn't at his best. Do you think Bradley's life will change if he loses to Pacquiao?

By escaping everyday routines and demands in a remote training camp, a fighter can spend his days focusing on the match-up to the exclusion of anything else.

Having tried it once before, though, Bradley has decided that traveling training camps don't work for him.

Bradley, the WBO light welterweight champion, says he draws strength from familiar surroundings and motivation from hometown fans. So he is staying home in the Coachella Valley to train for his June 9 bout against boxer-of-the-decade Manny Pacquiao in a pay-per-view event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Bradley finds that maintaining a sense of normalcy in his life keeps him fresh for the fight, free from burn-out.

“I think the balance is, when I go home, I don't think about the gym anymore. I don't think about the fight,” Bradley said. “I think about my family and it takes me away from the fight zone. Thinking about the fight constantly can drain you.”

Since winning his first world title in 2008, Bradley's profile has risen in the Coachella Valley. He said he constantly receives honks and cheers from fans driving by as he logs up to 10 miles a day on his morning runs through Palm Springs.

The roadwork is only the start of Bradley's day as more conditioning work follows at Palm Springs High School. Bradley then makes the 30-minute drive to the Indio Boys & Girls Club to focus on his boxing.

While Bradley's undefeated record is impressive, he hasn't exactly been facing elite competition.

His most recent victories were dominant knockouts, but that's not saying much, considering he was fighting an inexperienced Devon Alexander and a washed-up Joel Casamayor. Before that, he easily dispatched 27 other scrubs.

Of course, it would be silly to say Bradley hasn't fought anyone of Pacquiao's caliber, because nobody outside of Mayweather is on Pac-Man's level. However, it's concerning that Bradley is taking on the champ without having faced anyone remotely close to Pacquiao's ability.

Pacquiao's unique blend of speed, power, experience and aggressiveness will be unlike anything Bradley has ever seen. The Filipino phenom has destroyed far more seasoned fighters than Bradley, and I'm expecting the kid to be overwhelmed from the start.

Pacquiao vs. Bradley Prediction

Sometime back around 2008 I swore off picking against Bradley. The guy finds a way to win, he just does, and it's probably his biggest strength in the ring. Of course, that kind of stance has to come with an exception clause of sorts – I'll never pick against Bradley... unless he faces Pacquiao or Mayweather.

That's where we are here, and make no mistake about it, I'm tempted to take Bradley against what is perhaps a physically and emotionally tired Manny Pacquiao. Especially given the favorable odds, taking Bradley as an upset winner has had me thinking.

Ultimately though, I'm going to be exercising that exception clause. Bradley's best chance to win is to make this an ugly affair, and he's capable of doing that. However, to succeed he'll have to get in Pacquiao's face, and that means walking through the incoming fire. Bradley has been dropped and hurt before, and the sheer speed and unexpected approach of Pacquiao's shots will make them hard for him to avoid.
