This article describes about the history of changing from Black and White tv to Satellite TV
Since the earliest of times people have wanted to be entertained and that is just the way we are. All through the history of mankind, we have always found some time to sit somewhere and watch something that entertains us. Even before TV, when there was radio, the people who listened to the evening programs on it, would sit around the radio and watch it as they listened to it.
No one could have dreamed back then, how far things would advance in a handful of decades, to the point that they are now. Satellites that rotate around the earth now beam down the programming that we watch and now when we watch the programming, we get to see alot more than a radio when we look. The first black and white TVs were veiwed as wonders of technology and could cost a family a whole months wages to buy and bring into their homes.
They gladly spent the money though, because the first programming that was on was the great entertainers that had come to TV from radio, where they had come to from vaudeville. Jack Benny, Milton Berle, Red Skelton and "The Great One" Jackie Gleason are just a few of the performers that kept the first TV viewers laughing with their side splitting antics. It was all live too, so no one was quite sure what was going to happen sometimes, even the entertainers themselves.
Over the next decades some of the programing that came along was less than an improvement but the technological improvements were all welcomed and made watching the TV more enjoyable and easier to do and also brought the cost of the TVs themselves down considerably. The first step up from black and white was color TV and it was quite an improvement. Everything was now far more realistic than in black and white. Some things like movies were far more enjoyable to watch in color. Some of the programming was down right rotten though and it progressed along that way until only the evening news or a National Geographic special was worth watching. Once a year A Charlie Brown Christmas came on but that was only once a year. Then cable came along it it let you watch the news all night. It was the same news over and over again but you could watch it all night if you wanted to. The cable companies had it made and they knew it. They trampled right through comunities, digging up their streets and yards and getting involved in political scandals with influence peddling in their struggles for territory to broadcast in. They were the only show in town though so everyone had to put up with their B.S.
Now the latest technology in TV is satellite TV programming from Directv and has pushed cable aside just like all the preceding improvements shoved aside the obsolete technology that was already in place. There is just no comparison between cable service and satellite service. What ever cable has, satellite programming from Directv has more of. Directv has treated all its customers and the communities that they live in with respect and that is a breath of fresh air after having to put up with cable companies "bull in a china shop" policies. So for the latest improvements in TV viewing look to Directv.
