With all the Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals on Blu-ray Players, you should have no problem getting a cheap Blu-ray Player. But to make sure you get the right one for you, here are a few things to consider before you purchase your Blu-ray Player.

If you are purchasing a Blu-ray DVD Player on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, you should be able to find great prices on some very good Blu-ray Disc Players. Having a choice on what to purchase is not a bad thing. But it can make the task a little more difficult. And deciding which Blu-ray Disc Player is the best one for your home, especially with all the Blu-ray Deals this Holiday Season, can get a little daunting. The key is to decide what you want from your Blu-ray Player and choose accordingly. This task should not be too hard to accomplish, but to help you with it, here are a few things to think about.

Internet Connectivity is found on all new Blu-ray DVD Players. And if you are going to take advantage of this feature, you may want to purchase a Blu-ray Player that has integrated or built-in Wi-Fi. This will make your life easier. Since most people do not have an Ethernet Cable running through their living rooms. Players with Wi-Fi are easier to setup through your wireless Home Network.

With your Blu-ray DVD Player connected to the internet you can access online streaming services such as Netflix, Vudu, Youtube and much more. Each individual Blu-ray Disc Player will have its own set of online apps. Then there is BD-Live content found on certain Blu-ray discs. BD-Live content is downloaded from the internet and comprises of things like online games, chat rooms, live commentary, deleted scenes and updated trailers. If you are not planing on viewing any online content, then go with a player without Wi-Fi capability. They tend to be more expensive, and there is no need to spend the extra money on a feature you will never use.

You also need to consider the Audio and Video Outputs of the Blu-ray Disc Player. Cheaper players will more likely have just the basic outputs. You have to make sure the Blu-ray Players is compatible to your home setup. For example, all players will come with a HDMI Output. But if you have an older, non-HDMI A/V receiver, you may not be able to get the full effect of the players great High Resolution surround sound if it does not have multi-channel analog outputs. Fortunately, there are a few Blu-ray Disc Players on the market with 7.1-ch analog outputs. However, expect to pay more for these models. Then there are those with older, pre-HDMI HDTVs. In this case you will need to make sure the player has Component Video Outputs. One of the best advantages of owning a Blu-ray DVD Player is that it will preform and look great on anything. So there is no need to go out and upgrade older equipment.

Another good idea to consider is to get a name brand Blu-ray Disc Player. The reasoning behind this is because Blu-ray content is always developing and how we view this content is evolving all the time. There is a very good chance you will need a firmware update for you player in the future. Name brands like Sony, Samsung, LG and Panasonic have excellent support for their models. And usually provide quick solutions to any problems that occur with their players.

You will probably see and hear a lot about 3D Blu-ray Disc Players. You should only consider buying a 3D capable player if you have a 3D HDTV. If you are planning on getting one if the future, it might be wise to invest in a 3D player now. But do not expect these 3D players to be among the cheapest. And 3D content might be hard to locate. Although we are seeing more 3D content being released now. It will not be until we get to 2011, that we will see a significant increase in availability.

Many retailers will be offering great deals on Blu-ray Disc Players this Holiday seasons. Places like Best Buy, Wal-mart, Sears, Kmart, Target and Amazon.comFree Articles, will all have a wide variety of players. Just keep in mind what you want your Blu-ray Disc Player to do and if it is compatible with your home entertainment setup. And finding the right one should be a breeze.
