It is well known fact that an incandescent lamp is the most inefficient form of lighting as the greater part of the electricity is used up as heat emitted from the incandescent filament. Apart from energy conservation and avoidance of heat led light bulb is safe to use because it does not contain harmful substance unlike the other lamps. Apart from being clean these high efficient lamps flash the light instantly unlike the fluorescent and CFL.

One of the claims that is being made for the use of the led light bulb is very long life meaning it can last for many years especially for household. It is also claimed that the light coming out of an led light bulb can be controlled according to your requirement. This claim is yet to be established with customer feedbacks and reviews. Reputed lamp makers have to outsource the semi conductors from outside and to some extent it hampers the bulb manufacturer of the led light bulb and also the efforts of these companies in the matter of bringing down the prices. Because of the ease of use and saving of energy and better comfort these LED lamps are fast catching on. However, the limiting factor continues to be the high price though the makers have held out promise of drastic reduction in prices in the near future.
