LED (Light-Emitting Diode) is the modern lighting technology that plays an important role in making climate healthy. LED lights come with several advantages like – less power consumption feature,LED Lights – The Next Generation Technology Articles long durability, no sign of harmful mercury and low in maintenance. It is also seen as a rapidly developing lighting technology that provides better light quality as compared to the incandescent bulbs, fluorescent lamps and CFL blubs. With the change of time and looking at the need of the hour, traditional lights are being replaced by LEDs across the world to combat the challenges of global warming. These cost-effective lights have the great impact on saving energy and can also reduce the carbon emissions to a great extent.

It is examined that LED bulbs, tubes and other related products convert around 80 per cent of electrical energy into light energy. As per the study, it is said that United States can save around 348 TWh of electricity with the use of LED bulbs by 2027. Similarly as per the data, Indian Government is saving 7000 units of energy each month after installing LED lights at South Block in New Delhi and now after launching Domestic Efficient Lighting Programme (DELP), Indian Government is aiming to save 73 lakh units of energy per day. To make this programme successful, Indian Government has distributed over two crore subsidized LED bulbs in the country and by 2018, it is hoping to distribute 77 crore bulbs. These facts are enough to show the benefits of using LED products in terms of energy and money saving.

People can use LED products in their homes, offices and shops that help them to save a good amount on electricity bills. These lights can also be used for street lighting as it has better light quality (a 360 degree glow) as compared to traditional lights. LEDs products with ENERGY STAR rating also use 70 to 80 per cent less energy and last 25 times longer than any other traditional lights. The LED light is quite beneficial for health as it does not contain harmful mercury and also not attract insects. Today the business of LED products is growing rapidly and the manufacture of these lights bring various kinds of LED items in the market like- LED room lights, street lights, Diwali decorative lights, T5 and LED T8 Tubes, Flexible LED Lighting and LED car lights. People can also add more appeal to their homes with the use of decorative room LED lights.

The way industry of LED bulbs is growing, it will soon replace fluorescent lamps and CFL bulbs all around the world due to its better features of long durability, energy efficiency and impact on climate. LED lights are one of the best initiatives to go green in the present time when the entire world is facing the problem of global warming. So move with time and adopt the latest LED lighting technology for not only saving money on electricity bills but also to make environment healthy.
