However, these do not come with additional monitors unless you would want to buy them separately. Otherwise, the digital video recorder units can be plugged in to most compatible monitors like LCDs or computers. Most people would not go for a separate monitor for security camera systems but at the same time, it is important to have a monitor that gives good clarity. But how do you understand as to how powerful is your security camera kit? This can be understood by a universal code called as IP code or IP rating. This code consists of two digits. The first digit speaks about the size of the object that the camera can clearly see. This ranges from 0 to 6, 6 being dust small. The second digit indicates how water proof it is. This ranges from 0 to 8, 8 being the best secured from exposure to water.
