All the Fun Without the Drama: Flying During the HolidaysYou have options for travels around any holiday. Like most individuals, I love Christmas time and really any time around the holidays. The thing that I in all probability have in common with just as many people is that I hate to travel during the season. Traveling at Thanksgiving or Christmas is about as bad as it gets. It's bad enough if you are going to drive someplace, or take a bus or train, but when you have to go to the airport, it just about ruins the entire spirit of the holidays. There are just too many individuals and not enough flights or space to keep them spread out in a comfortable way. Everybody is in a hurry, there are limited days that you can travel before and after in order to get everything done and everywhere you want to go, and so everyone is moving at once. It's like herds of cattle trying to move through the same congested area. Most people are considerate, they mind their own business, but there are some men and women that just ought to have stayed home. Maybe they are always that way or maybe the stress of the moment has put them into that mood, either way it is bad for the rest of us. So the first thing everybody should keep in mind is to be considerate of one another and really try to be as courteous as possible. That does not just go for the customers, but it should go to the men and women that are taking our tickets and all other airport and airline personnel. It's a stressful part of the year for them as well and the customers should respect that as well. If everybody takes just a minute to think about what the holiday's means to them and how they should treat each other, everything will be just fine. Does not matter what holiday you celebrate, or it shouldn't, everyone should treat each other how they want to be treated. That's the best way to look at it; whether you are someplace fun like Disneyland or at the airport. But if you're at the airport, keep a couple of things in mind to make your stay a little less stressful. First, expect to be there longer than you want to be. Sometimes, just knowing it will likely not go smoothly is enough to take the edge off of the frustration. Secondly, be sure to be organized and have what you need , but not more than you need. You want to be the guy or gal that's holding up the line for some stupid reason.Source: Free Articles from ArticlesFactory.com
