Costa Blanca Holidays & Elche Palms

When you book your Costa Blanca Holidays put Elche at the top of your list of places to visit as it has not only a lot of history but the palm trees are something that has to be seen to be believed.  As a matter of fact there are so many palm trees that Elche is also known as the Palmeral of Elche. The palm forest in Elche is considered to be the only palm forest in Europe. So don't pass up this opportunity to see this forest on your Costa Blanca Holidays.

As you pass through Elche on your Costa Blanca Holidays and are a bit of a history buff take notice of the history behind this forest. It was believed to have been planted by the Phoenicians sometime during the 6th century BC. The actual forest consists of over 10,000 palm trees with the majority of them being date palms. Take the time on your Costa Blanca Holidays to inspect the palm forest as there are not only palm trees to look at but the forest includes many beautiful gardens and parks where you can do nothing but sit and enjoy the day out on your Costa Blanca Holidays.
