Egypt Holidays Offer the Best of it All

You can take your pick of cultural history or sun, sea and sand - or both - with holidays to Egypt.

You might think that travelling back to the land of the ancient world might cost the earth, but in fact cheap Egypt holidays are a reality. 

You really can fly to Egypt and see all the wonders of the country’s cultural heritage without breaking the bank. Just five and a half hours by air from the UK and you can be in a world of sun, the Nile and some of the most wondrous man-made sights in the world. The pyramids, the Valleys of the Kings and Queens, the Sphinx – no country can reel of its list of ancient attractions like Egypt!

In addition, you can take in the sights, sounds and smells of bustling capital city Cairo, and enjoy the souks and bazaars and haggle for a bargain. History on its doorstep: nearby are the Valley of the Kings and Queens in Luxor, the timeless beauty of the Aswan, the mighty temple of Abu Simbel, Karnak Temples, the Hatshepsut Temple, and the High Dam.

However, cheap Egypt holidays need not be all about a face-to-face history lesson! In fact, some of the best sun-sea-sand destinations are in Egypt – at Sharm El Sheikh or Hurghada on the Sinai Peninsula, with sea diving in the Red Sea as a prime attraction. Water sports such as diving, snorkelling, and windsurfing are complemented by shopping and entertainment. There are also land-based activities such as horse-riding and camel-riding.

Small, intimate hotels sit alongside the larger five-start accommodation, but the local attractions are the same: golf courses, health facilities, casinos, discos and nightlife.

The weather is hot in the summer (in the 40s C) and can be humid, so air conditioning is a must. In the winter the temperature stays in the 20s. You’ll never be short of sun.
