As a bonus, you also get a magnificent view of Brixham’s coastal area from this garden. Have a relaxing stroll amidst the trees like fir, pine, scotch and many more. The trees that are planted here were planted in memory of those who were killed during the war. There are flowering plants like wild orchids and bluebells that are planted at the very top of the Battery Gardens.

The Battery Gardens is considered as a Scheduled Monuments and the Grandstand of Torbay. You must also visit the museum in this garden that opens only from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday. Make sure you include this attraction if you are staying at the beautiful Brixham holiday cottages.

South West Coast Path

The South West Coast Path is a national trail that stretches for over 630 miles. It is one place that the adventurous would really love to go to. You must leave your Brixham holiday cottages early in the morning right after breakfast. UNESCO’s World Heritage sites Jurassic Coast and West Devon Mining Landscape are included in the South West Coast Path. You will see many amazing plants, colourful flowers and wildlife.
