Does the city have its own airport?

Yes it does and access into the very city centre itself is through a number of fast and reasonably priced Salzburg airport transportation services.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in the city and went on to become, though not in his own lifetime, one of the most universally acclaimed composers in history. The ancient winding streets are an absolute delight and fantastic to explore or have a quiet coffee as you watch the world go by.

Can I get cheap flights?

At the time of writing, several low-cost airlines service the city. You can get some great deals, although as with all budget airline destinations, the situation is subject to fairly regular change.

Are taxis available at the airport?

Yes, they certainly are but you may be able to get a rather more cost-effective deal if you look at Salzburg airport transportation offers and book them in advance. It might certainly be a better idea than relying on a taxi if you are travelling with bulky luggage.
