Five Best Activities in Alicante

Summer is always the best time for a holiday; much more in Alicante. There is so much to do: shopping, sights, cuisine and beaches. Alicante is located at Costa Blanca’s north.

The top five activities which you can indulge in while in Alicante are:

1. Sightseeing
2. Castle visits
3. Shopping
4. Cuisine satisfaction
5. Market visits

A quick tour of this city on a Segway is a must. A Segway tour is when you ride a two wheel scooter that works electronically while standing up. It is driven on the pavement. It is a very fun and enjoyable ride, especially on a sunny day. The breeze is a good welcome as you feel in control of the vehicle. You can visit the attractive sights of Alicante in a couple of hours.

Then there is the amazing and majestic Alicante Castle which is as ancient as 10th century. This Moorish Castle is on a mountain top which gives you a panoramic view of Alicante. It is a dare for the brave although a lift is available at the cliff edge.

You can enjoy the spectacular views while enjoying ice-creams and tapas from the Castle’s quaint little café.

Next is the shopping opportunity at El Corte Ingles. This is ‘the’ shop to visit when in Spain. This is the largest department store that is available in every Spanish city. El Corte Ingles offers several departmental floors for your shopping pleasure, displaying homeware, toys, children’s clothes, women’s clothes, handbags, music, cosmetics, films, books and menswear. Its quality products equal those found in Selfridges where the prices are affordable.

The next stop has to be Alicante Marina. This posh spot showcases the luxury boats for your viewing pleasure. You can feast your eyes on the comfort and wealth of many Spaniards while enjoying some local seafood cuisine at some of its delightful restaurants. The seafood here is tasty and excellent as they are fresh. Having lunch at Alicante Marina will make you feel on top of the world. It is also a romantic place for a drink, walk or dance in the evenings.

Last but not least, another interesting activity at Alicante is wandering through the market. An especially good time to do so would be after lunch. The market is right behind the marina where ferienhaus lloret de mar trees line the promenade making it a great shade for a walk after your satisfying lunch. There are plenty of interesting stuff on sale at the market, such as jewelry, leathers bagsArticle Submission, leather belts and drums from South American.

Be wary of pick pockets that prowl around the markets and beaches.
