Hotels are doing all sorts of things to bring in new customers and to try and keep their rooms occupied on a day to day basis. They are looking for ways to set their establishments apart from every other hotel in the area. One way they are doing this is by becoming Greener. By doing this, they are attracting certain kind of clientele that might favor this sort of effort over let's say just having a heated indoor pool. The hotel is recycling their refuse and their water and doing things that are working towards a more sustainable future. There is a certain segment of the population hat finds great value in this and may be willing to pay a little more in order to support the effort. There are other things that hotels are doing to make their establishments more inviting to different demographics. There are hotels that are catering to family's and offer things that make staying in their rooms more enjoyable to customers that are traveling with children and teenagers. It may be something as simple as having a second pool for the kids with a water slide or having access to a game room with video games and pinball machines. These types of things will appeal to children and parents looking for something to keep their kids busy during the down times they will surely have while on the trip. Another thing that many hotels are doing is to make their lobbies and communal areas more inviting and spacious. Along with making them more comfortable, they are making them more inviting for customers that are using the facilities for business uses. They are offering more things that you would need when doing work such as business facilities with access to fax and copier services and offering Wi-Fi for the customers. Almost everybody uses the internet for working these days and it almost seems backwards if an establishment doesn't offer Wi-Fi to their customers. It is like taking a step into a time warp, expecting customers to have to plug into something for internet access, and to actually charge for the service is outrageous. Offering Wi-Fi to your customers is a must, even as much as cable television and air conditioning. It is expected and if it is not available, then believe it that those customers are keeping track of what places do not offer it and avoid them the next time around.
