Hillside Hotel offers bed & breakfast stays to individual travelers or groups.
Hillside food is characterized by local produce, well conceived flavours, heritage influences and geographic sensibility.

The menus reflect traditional through to contemporary New Zealand cuisine.
Nestled amongst native forest on top of the Taupiri Ranges, Hillside offers panoramic views of iconic New Zealand landscape scenery. On the main tourist route south of Auckland and just 4km off the highway makes Hillside Hotel an ideal last stop or first stop in New Zealand or a wonderful weekend escape for locals. Stunning location for weddings, private functions and conferences. Fresh air, views, bush setting, great food and service make Hillside a sought after venue.

Mount Taupiri, a sacred mountain and burial place for the Mori People, is located in about a mile from the Hillside Hotel & Nature Resort. Bus tours are available to the Waitomo Glowworm Caves, world renowned and a magnet for both local and overseas visitors. The Glowworm Cave consists of three different levels linked by the Tomo, which is a 16 m vertical shaft made of limestone. The second level is called the Banquet Chamber. This level is where early visitors stopped to eat and there is evidence of this in the smoke on the ceiling of the chamber.  The third and final level goes down into the Cathedral, demonstration platform, and the jetty. The Cathedral is an enclosed area with rough surfaces and is about 18 m high making for great acoustics.  The tourist tours conclude with a boat ride through the Glowworm Grotto. The boat takes the visitors onto the underground Waitomo River where the only light comes from the tiny glowworms creating a sky of living lights.
